Vibe Vault: Creating Safe and Inclusive Spaces for Young People in Liverpool

A youth-focused program that blends creativity, skill-building, and community connection.

In Liverpool, a unique initiative is helping young people with disabilities build confidence, friendships, and life skills. Known as the Vibe Vault, this youth-focused day program is part of a growing effort to provide safe and inclusive spaces where young people can thrive.

Blending Creativity, Health, and Community

An initiative of Tender Loving Care Disability Services, the Vibe Vault blends creativity, health, and community engagement in a way that feels fresh and engaging. Weekly programs might include cooking workshops, art and design sessions, or fitness and mindfulness activities. Participants also take part in group outings — from bowling and café visits to excursions at local cultural centres.

The idea is simple but powerful: to give young people the tools and opportunities to explore their interests while staying connected to their community. Importantly, the program also includes skill-building activities such as budgeting challenges, resume writing, and public speaking games. These practical experiences help prepare participants for future pathways, whether in employment, volunteering, or further education.

More Than Just a Weekly Schedule

Families who are part of the program say that the Vibe Vault has filled an important gap after school, providing a balance of structure and freedom. For many, it has become more than just a weekly schedule of activities — it has become a safe environment to test independence, make new friends, and celebrate achievements.

The Vibe Vault is not only a reflection of how disability support is evolving but also an example of how Tender Loving Care Disability Services is creating spaces where young people feel seen, included, and empowered.
